Presented by:

Rebecca Effiong  serves as the Assistant Director of Strategic Implementation at Lad Lake, bringing over 12 years of dedicated experience in the social service field, complemented by an additional 7 years in Higher Education. Her multifaceted background empowers her to leverage a unique skill set, enabling her to deliver impactful training, coaching, and support to the entire staff within our agency. Rebecca is one of Lad Lake's recognized experts in Trauma Informed Care practices, showcasing her commitment to fostering a compassionate and supportive environment. As one of our agency specialists, she plays a pivotal role in training and embedding evidence-based curriculums and practices throughout Lad Lake. Rebecca is committed to creating a culture that prioritizes the well-being and resilience of both staff and the youth we serve.

Jessica Linick, Ph.D., SEP, (Columbia University) is the Director of Youth Services for the Lionheart Foundation. Prior to joining Lionheart, she was the Senior Psychologist with the Bellevue/NYU Juvenile Justice Mental Health Service and a Clinical Assistant Professor with NYU School of Medicine, working to expand trauma-informed care within the NYC secure and non-secure juvenile detention sites. Prior to that, she was a Clinical Supervisor at Rikers Island, New York City’s largest jail complex, serving adults with severe mental illness. She is an author, consultant, trainer, speaker, and teacher, presenting nationally and internationally on topics related to attachment, Trauma Informed Care, criminal justice reform, and the use of mindfulness as an intervention within residential and forensic settings. Jess is also a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner (SEP); SE is a resiliency based, body-oriented approach to the healing of trauma and other stress disorders.

Dani Bald  With a background in social work and a passion for organizational growth Dani Bald is a dedicated professional serving as the Growth and Development Coordinator at Lad Lake in Milwaukee, WI since March 2021. Dani brings invaluable skills in staff support, program development, and data-driven decision-making to drive positive change within the organization. Dani has a focus on supporting the staff through burnout and compassion fatigue and providing them with services through EAP and facilitating EQ2 groups for staff. Dani also facilitates sexual health groups with youth.
