Join ACRC's HouseParent Affinity Group Meeting!
Recruiting, Retaining, and Supporting Live-In Staff
April 21, 2023
12 – 1 pm CT
Across the world, many high-quality residential providers serve children, teens, and young adults with staff employed as “houseparents” or professional primary caregivers. Whether single or married caregivers live in the home with young people, or staff rotate and stay in the home 24/7 for three-day, four-day, or week-long shifts, these programs maintain a family-based environment by providing continuous, consistent care to children and youth.
Join this interactive dialogue, led by 24-year Boys Town veteran Family Teachers Jodi and Kyle Skartvedt, to learn from a panel of current houseparents about what works to recruit, retain, and effectively support people serving in this critically important role. All houseparents, supervisors, program directors, HR professionals, and other leaders are welcome!
This conversation is hosted by ACRC’s Houseparent Affinity Group, facilitated by Michele Boguslofski, Executive Director, Teaching-Family Association, and staffed by Lisette Burton, Chief Policy & Practice Advisor, ACRC.
There is no cost for this meeting. A Zoom link will be sent upon registering.
